URGENT!! These bills will delete virtually all homebuilder accountability and leave hardworking home buyers
with no recourse to have their houses repaired. Please email in and OPPOSE these bills.

SB 337 Severely limits the amount of time that a homeowner has to recover damages on a defective home. This bill basically seeks to take away all rights of a homeowner to file a lawsuit for any type of problem with their home after a three year period.

Studies show that most construction defects DO NOT show up until 5-7 years after a home is built. Also, the current law gives homeowners up to 10 years regarding construction defects and an unlimited amount of time for injury.

*OPPOSE this bill by emailing the Assembly Judiciary Committee.

SB 349 Takes away a homeowner's right to recoup attorney fees even if the homeowner wins a construction defect lawsuit.

Would you support a New Home Lemon Law?

A New Home Lemon Law is being heard in Texas that states a builder has 120 days to repair a defective home.
If the home is not repaired in 120 days, the builder must buy the home back or replace it with a similar home.

Read the Texas New Home Lemon Law prepared by Ms. S. Thompson.
Ms. Thompson has repeatedly stood up for hard working Americans
that have gotten stuck with defective homes.

Nevada homeowners need more protection, not less.
Please recommend that the Texas New Home Lemon Law be put forth as legislation in Nevada.

Should the Speed Limits Around School Zones be Raised?

SB 18 Would change the speed limits in school zones and give the superintendent the power to raise the speed limit to as much as 30 mph near some schools. Will be heard on February 19 at 8 am. If you are unable to attend the meeting at the Grant Sawyer Building, click here to email the Senate Committee on Energy, Infrastructure, and Transportation.

Update: Unfortunately, this bill is still alive. In difficult financial times, the last thing the government needs to spend money on is new speed limit signs that would further endanger the children of Nevada.

AB 136 Establishes the State Program for Oral Health.
